How to join your Medal of Honor: Allied Assault server
- 1
Patch Allied Assault to 1.11, and add
+set ui_console 1to your game shortcut if the console isn't enabled. - 2
Launch the game and press the tilde key to open the console.
- 3
Type
password {SERVER_PASSWORD}and press Enter if the server has a password. - 4
Type
connectand press Enter.203.0.113.24
Common problems
If the console won't open, add +set ui_console 1 to the end of your game shortcut's target, then press the tilde key.
Version mismatches are the usual reason a connection fails. Patch your game to 1.11 before joining.
Players without a custom map get kicked on map change. Share your .pk3 files before switching to custom maps.
Use rconpassword and the RCON password from your panel in the game console, then rcon map obj/obj_team3 changes the map without a restart.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Modding your Medal of Honor: Allied Assault server
Allied Assault servers still run community content: custom maps packed as .pk3 files and server side script mods. Upload them to the main folder over SFTP and add maps to your rotation.
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault server hosting, explained
Allied Assault came out in 2002 and its multiplayer still has a loyal crowd. There are four modes: free for all, team match, round based where dead players sit out until the next round, and objective, where one side plants bombs and the other defends. Maps like V2 Rocket Facility, Omaha Beach, Stalingrad and Algiers are what people come back for, and servers handle up to 32 players.
Old games live or die by community servers, and the game isn't even sold anymore, so a server that stays up is what keeps a regular crowd coming back. Clans run them for scrims and ladders, and groups of old friends run them for nostalgia nights. Ours runs the community Reborn 1.12 server patch, which closes old exploits and crash bugs while still letting players on the official 1.11 patch connect.
With your own server you pick the starting map, set max clients, lock it with a password for scrims, and run admin commands through RCON. Both passwords are made for you when the server is created. Config files and custom maps go up through the file manager or SFTP, and the full console lets you watch connections and change maps without joining the game yourself.
This is a lightweight Quake III engine era server. The game logic is simple and the maps are small, so a scrim server runs on 1 GB and even a full 32 player objective server is comfortable on 2 GB. Only go up to 4 GB if you plan to stack a big custom map rotation and server side scripts on the same server, and even then it's mostly headroom.

Common questions
How many players can a Medal of Honor: Allied Assault server hold?
Up to 32. Ours starts at 14 and you set the cap with the Max clients setting. Counts of 12 to 20 usually feel best on the tighter maps.
How do I join a MOHAA server by IP?
Open the console with the tilde key and type connect followed by the server address and port. If the console won't open, add +set ui_console 1 to your game shortcut's target first.
What version do players need?
The official 1.11 patch. Our server runs the Reborn 1.12 server patch, which accepts 1.11 players.
How do I change maps or kick players remotely?
Type rconpassword followed by the RCON password from your panel in the game console. After that, rcon commands change the map or kick players without restarting.
Which maps can I start on?
The panel offers V2 Rocket Facility and stock team maps like Southern France, Remagen and Stalingrad. Any map, including Omaha Beach and custom ones, can be loaded by RCON or your rotation.
Can I run custom maps?
Yes. Upload the .pk3 files to the main folder over SFTP and add them to your rotation. Players need the same files to join on those maps.
Does it work with Spearhead or Breakthrough?
No. This server is for Allied Assault. Spearhead and Breakthrough have their own servers and player bases.
Can I still buy Allied Assault?
EA no longer sells it, so most players use old discs or existing copies. That's part of why the crowd that remains sticks to a few trusted servers.
Is GamezServers affiliated with Medal of Honor: Allied Assault?
No. You rent and control your own dedicated Medal of Honor: Allied Assault server. GamezServers is not affiliated with the game's developer or publisher.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
