A free Rust server for your group, wipe after wipe
A real dedicated Rust server, paid for by the credits your link earns.
Rust has no co-op or listen server mode, so every multiplayer world runs on a dedicated server, and those need real memory. Free Rust hosting is almost impossible to find for that reason. Credits are our answer: your link earns them, they pay the bill.

Why Rust servers are never really free
Rust runs on memory
Even a three person group needs a dedicated server in Rust, and memory is the resource that runs out first. RAM use climbs as players build bases and the entity count grows through a wipe, and every plugin adds a little more on top. Plan for 8 GB on a small map around 3000, 12 GB for a standard 4000 map and 16 GB for large maps or heavy plugin packs.
No host can give that away for nothing for long. That is why the free Rust servers you find are usually someone else's community, not a world you control.
Two ways your link earns credits
Every account gets a share link in one click from the dashboard. It earns 5 cents in credits for every person who clicks it, counted once a day per person, and $10 in credits for every person who clicks it and subscribes, once per person.
Anyone counts, not just your group. Players who see your link in your server description, a Discord announcement or a wipe day clip earn you credits just like teammates do.
What the credits buy in Rust
Credits are money that buys servers with us, not a discount, and they come off your bills automatically. Our 8 GB Starter plan is $19.99 a month and suits a small map with up to 50 players, so two people who click your link and subscribe cover a month of it. Three cover a month of the 12 GB Standard plan at $29.99.
Once your credits cover a server you get it with credits alone, no card and no payment. A 3 day prepaid 8 GB Rust server is $5.00, the cost of 100 clicks or half of one subscriber, which is plenty for a wipe weekend with friends. Credits have no cash value and only pay GamezServers bills.
Your map, your rules, your wipe
A credit paid server is the same as a paid one: dedicated memory, DDoS protection, backups, a live console and a file manager for wipes. Pick vanilla, Oxide or Carbon, set the map size, seed and server browser tags, and Rust and your framework update themselves on every restart, which matters on force wipe day, the first Thursday of each month.
The server stays up when everyone logs off. It only goes to sleep after 4 days with nobody on, and anyone with access wakes it with one click from the dashboard.

Common problems
Not in the server list yet
New servers can take a while to show up in the Community tab. Pasting the connect command into the F1 console always works.
Cannot connect after a Rust update
Rust updates on the first Thursday of every month. The owner restarts the server so it updates too, then everyone can join again.
Server still starting
A fresh map takes a few minutes to generate the first time after a wipe or a new seed. Wait until the dashboard shows it running.
Making someone an admin
The owner types ownerid followed by the player's Steam ID in the dashboard console, then server.writecfg so it survives restarts, and the player reconnects.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Common questions
Is a free Rust server actually free?
The server is a normal paid one. Your share link earns credits that come off your bill automatically, and when they cover the whole bill you pay nothing.
How much RAM does a Rust server need?
About 8 GB for a small map with up to 50 players, 12 GB for a standard 4000 map and 16 GB for large or custom maps and heavy plugin packs.
How many subscribers cover a month?
Two people who click your link and subscribe earn enough credits for a month of the 8 GB Starter plan at $19.99. Clicks add 5 cents each on top.
Can I get a Rust server with credits alone?
Yes. Once your credits cover a server you get it without a card. A 3 day prepaid 8 GB server is $5.00, and you can keep adding time with credits.
Can I run Oxide or Carbon plugins?
Yes. Pick the Oxide or Carbon server type and drop .cs plugins into the plugins folder. They load without a restart.
Does the server handle force wipe day?
Restart after the monthly update on the first Thursday and Rust, Oxide or Carbon update themselves. A fresh map generates on its own.
Can I cash out my credits?
No. Credits have no cash value and only pay GamezServers bills. They never expire while the program runs.
How much RAM does Rust need?
Standard maps with up to 100 players run well on 12 GB. Go bigger for large maps or heavy plugins.
How do I wipe my server?
Stop the server, open Files, go to server/rust and delete the .map and .sav files for a map wipe. Delete the player.blueprints files too for a blueprint wipe. Start the server and a fresh map generates.
Do I have to wipe every month?
The map has to wipe when Facepunch releases the monthly update on the first Thursday of the month, because old maps do not load on the new version. Restart after the update and the new map generates by itself. Blueprint wipes are up to you.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
