What comes set up on a Craftopia server

Difficulty and creative modes
Pick Easy to Very Hard, or a creative world with free crafting, no hunger and no death for pure building.
PIN locked server
Turn on the password in ServerSetting.ini and players need your PIN, up to 8 digits, to get in.
One click backups
Back up the save before an update or a big rebuild, and roll back if something breaks.

Common problems
Password must be numbers. Craftopia's server password is a PIN of up to 8 digits. Letters won't work.
Keep the player cap near 8. The setting goes to 127, but anything above 8 is known to make the server unstable.
Can't join after a patch? Craftopia is in Early Access and updates often. Leave Auto Update on and restart so the server matches your game.
Changes to ServerSetting.ini only apply after a restart, so restart from the panel once you save the file.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Craftopia server hosting, explained
Craftopia from Pocketpair, the studio that later made Palworld, throws almost every genre into one open world: hunting, farming, hack and slash dungeons, base building and conveyor belt automation that eventually runs whole production lines for you. Multiplayer is co-op, a small group sharing one world and splitting the work. Someone clears dungeons, someone expands the farms and someone keeps tuning the factory.
A dedicated server lets that world stay up and lets players join on their own schedule instead of waiting for the host. Craftopia's dedicated server connects by IP. The panel has the world name and auto update, and everything else lives in ServerSetting.ini, which you edit in the file manager: difficulty from Easy to Very Hard, normal or creative world, the player cap, a numeric password and autosave timing.
Creative mode is worth a look for building groups. It can turn on quick crafting without costs, no death, no damage, no hunger and infinite stamina, set a fixed time of day, and even pick the age level that decides which recipes you have. Dedicated servers are for the PC version on Steam, so Xbox and Game Pass players can't join them.
Memory climbs as the world fills with buildings, machines and dropped items. A handful of friends in a fresh world runs well on 8 GB. Once automation spreads across islands and the save gets big, 12 GB keeps it smooth, and 16 GB is for long running worlds. Keep the player count near a normal co-op group, since a much higher cap causes instability no matter the plan.

Common questions
How many players can join a Craftopia server?
maxPlayerNumber in ServerSetting.ini goes from 1 to 127, but Pocketpair warns that more than 8 may cause stability problems. Most groups stay at 8 or less.
How do I set a password?
In ServerSetting.ini set usePassword to 1 and serverPassword to a PIN of up to 8 digits, then restart. Only numbers are allowed.
Can I change the difficulty?
Yes. Set difficulty in ServerSetting.ini: 0 Easy, 1 Normal, 2 Hard or 3 Very Hard.
Is there a creative mode on dedicated servers?
Yes. Set gameMode to 2 or 3 for a creative world, then use the creative settings to turn on quick crafting, no death, no hunger and more.
Does Craftopia have crossplay on dedicated servers?
No. Dedicated servers are joined by IP from the Steam version on PC. Xbox and Game Pass players can only play in hosted sessions.
Can I move my local world to the server?
Yes. Upload the save with SFTP or the file manager and set the World Name in the panel to match. Make a backup first so you can roll back.
How much RAM does a Craftopia server need?
The bare minimum is around 3 GB, but real worlds with automation grow quickly. 8 GB is a comfortable start for a small group.
Is GamezServers affiliated with Craftopia?
No. You rent and control your own dedicated Craftopia server. GamezServers is not affiliated with the game's developer or publisher.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
