Common problems
The server will not start without a Brickadia server token. Create one from your Brickadia account, paste it in the panel and restart.
Builds are only as safe as the last save. Turn on autosave in the server's game settings in game, or save with BR.World.SaveAs name in the console.
Players on an older build cannot join after a Brickadia update. Keep Steam Auto-Updates on and restart the server.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Brickadia server hosting, explained
Brickadia is a brick building sandbox in the spirit of Blockland: you build with bricks, wire up contraptions, then play in what you made. It came to Steam in early access in July 2025. Servers range from free build spaces to custom game modes, minigames and roleplay towns, all made from bricks and logic. Groups often treat a server like a shared workshop where everyone has a plot and the best builds become the place everybody hangs out.
Because the whole point is building, persistence matters more than in most games. A dedicated server keeps your world online without anyone hosting from their PC, so a build group can work on a city over weeks and a community can keep a public build server open all day. Brickadia does not limit how much you can build, so a server that does not depend on a home PC also takes the load off whoever used to host.
The server needs a hosting token from your Brickadia account, which goes in the panel along with the world to load and automatic updates. Server name, password and other options are in the server's config files, which you edit in the file manager. Worlds save and load with console commands like BR.World.SaveAs and BR.World.Load, and you can turn on autosave from the game's server settings while connected as the owner.
Memory use follows brick count. A small group building normally is fine on 6 GB. Large, detailed worlds with lots of active contraptions run best on 8 GB, and a busy public server with huge saves should use 12 GB. Take backups before big changes, since a world is only as safe as its last save. You can change plans at any time as the world grows.

Common questions
Why does the server need a token?
Brickadia requires a dedicated server hosting token to start, which proves you own the game. Create one from your Brickadia account and paste it into the panel.
How do I keep my builds after a restart?
Turn on autosave, or save the world from the console with BR.World.SaveAs followed by a name. Set that name as the world to load in the panel so it comes back after a restart.
How do friends join?
They open Join Game in Brickadia and find the server in the list, or use Manual Connect with your server's address.
Is Brickadia still in early access?
Yes. It launched in early access on Steam in July 2025, so updates are frequent. Keep auto updates on so the server matches players' games.
Can I run game modes, not just free build?
Yes. Brickadia's game rules let you turn a build into an arena or minigame, and wire logic handles doors, scoring and contraptions.
Does the server update itself?
With Steam Auto-Updates on, the server checks for a new build each time it starts, so it stays in step with players' games.
How much RAM does a Brickadia server need?
6 GB for a small group, 8 GB for large detailed worlds, and 12 GB for busy public servers with huge saves.
Is GamezServers affiliated with Brickadia?
No. You rent and control your own dedicated Brickadia server. GamezServers is not affiliated with the game's developer or publisher.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
