One Minecraft world for every device
Phones, PCs and consoles, building in the same place.
Your friends play Minecraft on whatever they own. A Bedrock server keeps one world online for all of them, so nobody has to host from their own phone or console and the world is there whenever anyone wants to play.

Crossplay, explained honestly
Every Bedrock device, one world
Bedrock is the Minecraft on Windows, iPhone, iPad, Android, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. We run Mojang's Bedrock Dedicated Server, the same software Mojang publishes for server owners, so a phone player and a console player meet in the same world with the same builds.
It is native code and far lighter than a Java server. Starter with 2 GB comfortably holds a group of up to 10 friends playing survival, for 4.99 USD a month.
Phones and Windows: Add Server and go
On Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android, open the Servers tab, choose Add Server and type the IP and the port into their own boxes. Bedrock asks for them separately, and leaving the port at the default 19132 is the most common reason a first join fails. Use the port shown with your address and it connects.
Consoles join too, after a one time setup
Here is the part other pages skip. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch only show the featured servers and have no Add Server button. That is a platform rule, not something any host can switch off. Console players still play on your server like everyone else, they just need a free workaround once.
The usual route is BedrockConnect: set the console's DNS to its address, open a featured server, and a screen appears where you type your IP and port and save it for next time. BedrockTogether on a phone can list the server under Friends for Xbox and PlayStation, and Phantom on a PC on the same Wi-Fi shows it as a LAN game. Console players also need their platform's online membership to play online. Our guide for Xbox, PS5 and Switch walks through each console step by step.
Same version on every device, one click away
Phones and consoles update Minecraft by themselves, and Bedrock only connects when the game and the server run the same version. When an update lands and friends see Outdated server, click Update game in the dashboard. Your world, allowlist and settings are backed up first and kept, and everyone is back in.
One allowlist for every platform
Every Bedrock player signs in with a free Microsoft account, so the allowlist works by Gamertag whatever device they are on. Click Allowlist player, type the Gamertag exactly, and only the people you add can join. Make operator gives a trusted friend commands, and Keep inventory is a button, not a command to remember.

How to join your Minecraft Bedrock server
- 1
Update Minecraft to the newest version. Bedrock only joins servers on the same version.
- 2
On Windows, iPhone, iPad or Android, click Play, open the Servers tab and choose Add Server.
- 3
Type any name, then enter
203.0.113.24as the server address and19132as the port. - 4
Click Save, then pick the server in the list to join. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch cannot add servers this way, see the tips below.
Common problems
IP and port go in separate boxes
Bedrock asks for the Server Address and the Port separately. Put only the numbers before the colon in Server Address, and the number after the colon in Port. Leaving the port at 19132 is the most common reason a server will not connect.
"Outdated server" or "Outdated client"
Bedrock only connects when your game and the server run the same version. Update Minecraft from your app store, or ask the owner to click Update game in the dashboard after a new Minecraft release.
Playing on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch?
Consoles only show the featured servers and have no Add Server button. The usual workaround is the free BedrockConnect DNS method, which adds a screen where you type the address. Apps like BedrockTogether (phone) or Phantom (PC on the same Wi-Fi) can also make the server show up under Friends or LAN games.
"You are not invited to this server"
The allowlist is on and your Gamertag is not on it. Ask the owner to add you with Allowlist player, typing your Gamertag exactly.
On Java Edition?
Java Edition players cannot join a Bedrock server. For Java and Bedrock players together, run a Java server with Geyser instead.
Server not responding
Make sure the server is online. Servers sleep after 4 days with nobody playing, and anyone with access can start them again from the dashboard in one click.
Use the server address
Do not use localhost, 127.0.0.1 or your own IP from a home hosting guide. Copy the exact address of the server.
No port forwarding or firewall changes
Opening ports on your router is only for hosting a server at home, so there is nothing to change to join this one. If Windows asks whether to let the game through the firewall, choose Allow.
Common questions
Can Xbox, PlayStation and Switch players join?
Yes, they play on the server like anyone else. Consoles have no Add Server button, so console players use the free BedrockConnect DNS method to type in the address, or an app like BedrockTogether or Phantom that lists the server under Friends or LAN games.
Do console players need anything else?
Their platform's online membership for online play: a Game Pass tier with online multiplayer on Xbox, PlayStation Plus, or Nintendo Switch Online. Every player also needs a free Microsoft account.
Do we have to redo the console setup every time?
No. Once the DNS is set and the server is saved in the BedrockConnect list, you open the featured server and pick yours. Set DNS back to Automatic whenever you want the featured servers back.
Can Java Edition players join?
No. Bedrock Dedicated Server only accepts Bedrock players. If your group mixes Java and Bedrock, a Java server with Geyser is the way to go.
Which plan do we need?
Starter with 2 GB fits survival with up to 10 friends. Standard with 4 GB suits a busy world or a few add-ons with up to 25 players, and Pro with 6 GB covers big explored worlds and up to 50.
Why does a friend see Outdated server?
Minecraft updated on their device and the server is still on the older version. Click Update game in the dashboard. The world is backed up first and kept.
Can PlayStation, Xbox and Switch players join?
Yes, they play on the server like anyone else. Consoles just have no Add Server button, so console players use the free BedrockConnect DNS method to type in the address, or an app like BedrockTogether or Phantom that lists the server under Friends or LAN games.
Can Java Edition players join?
No. Bedrock Dedicated Server only accepts Bedrock players. If your group mixes Java and Bedrock, pick our Minecraft: Java Edition server and add Geyser, which lets Bedrock players join a Java world.
Why does it say "Outdated server"?
Minecraft updated on your device and the server is still on the older version. Click Update game in the dashboard. Your world is backed up first and kept.
Can my friends and I split the cost?
Yes. At checkout choose "Me and my friends" and up to 10 people each pay their own share with their own card, on any plan length, from 3 days to a year. It is not a payment plan: nobody pays in parts over time, each friend simply pays their own share. You pay yours, send each friend their link, and the server starts straight away. Each share includes a $1 payment fee.
Can I build a custom plan?
Yes. Every game has a Build your own page: pick any amount of RAM up to 32 GB, any length from 3 days to 1 year, prepaid or a subscription, plus your server type and settings. A custom size costs 15% more per GB than the standard plans next to it.
Can I pay once instead of a subscription?
Yes. Pick Prepaid and pay once for 3 days, 30 days, 6 months or a year. Nothing renews: when the time is up the server pauses and keeps its world for 14 days. Add time or switch to a subscription from your panel any time. Short rentals cost more per day, since every server is set up from scratch.
How fast is setup, really?
Your server starts building the moment Stripe confirms payment. Most are online in under a minute, and the address and login appear on your dashboard automatically.
