Satisfactory Core Values is the game's first paid expansion, announced by Coffee Stain Studios at The Big Break Showcase on 29 September 2026 (Coffee Stain on Steam, 29 September 2026). It takes factory building underground into new cave biomes. There is no release date or price yet, and the Steam store page lists it as coming soon.

What is Satisfactory Core Values?

Core Values is a DLC expansion that adds an underground world to Satisfactory. The official Steam store page describes exploring underground environments with "new resources, flora, fauna and more as you develop an underground factory network with new production lines and buildings". It is also listed on the Epic Games Store, and Coffee Stain says console versions are coming.

From the showcase coverage, the expansion includes:

  • New underground biomes with caverns that limit how much room you have to build.
  • New production lines and buildings. PCGamesN reports the cave machines are designed as heavier, more rugged equipment than the overworld factory.
  • A new storyline that tells you more about the world the deeper you go.
  • New creatures, including a one eyed alien cat shown in the reveal.

Coverage: PCGamesN, 29 September 2026 and Neowin.

When is the Core Values release date?

There is no release date yet. The Steam page shows the expansion as coming soon with the release date to be announced, and no launch window was given in the announcement. Coffee Stain also said the base game will keep getting regular updates on all platforms while the DLC is in development. We will update this page when a date is confirmed.

How much will Core Values cost?

The price has not been announced. What is confirmed is that this is the first time Coffee Stain has charged for Satisfactory content. Every update through Early Access and since 1.0, including Update 1.1 and Update 1.2, was free.

How do you access Core Values in game?

According to PCGamesN's report on the reveal, you reach the expansion after building the Space Elevator and reaching Tier 3 of HUB research. It sits in its own separate area, and you can switch between Core Values and the main story at any time. That suggests it plugs into an existing save rather than needing a fresh world, but Coffee Stain has not yet published the technical details of how it works with saves.

Does Core Values support co-op and dedicated servers?

The Steam page lists single player, online co-op and cross platform multiplayer for the expansion. Coffee Stain has not yet said how DLC ownership works in a mixed group, for example whether a player without Core Values can join a server running a save that uses it, or how dedicated servers handle the content. Those details matter for server owners, and they are not public yet.

Based on how other games handle paid DLC, these are the questions to watch when Coffee Stain shares more:

What the Steam page says about system requirements

The Core Values store page lists the same kind of PC requirements as the base game:

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 64 bit Windows 11
CPU Intel i5-3570 Ryzen 5 5600X or i5-12400
RAM 8 GB 16 GB
GPU RTX 2070 or RX 5700
Storage 20 GB

These are for the game client. Server needs are a different question, covered in our guide to Satisfactory dedicated server requirements.

What this means for your server

Nothing changes on your server today. Core Values is not out, and the current game version is still Update 1.2 (patch v1.2.4.0 from 11 August 2026). Until Coffee Stain shares the multiplayer details, here is how to be ready:

  1. Keep your server on the latest version. The expansion will almost certainly need the newest base game build. Read what changed in Satisfactory 1.2 if you have not updated yet.
  2. Back up your save before the DLC patch lands. A new area attached to existing worlds is the kind of change where a backup is cheap insurance.
  3. Plan for more memory. A whole second map area with its own factory network means more for the server to simulate when players are in it. If your late game save already sits near its limit on 8 GB, expect to want 12 GB or more. Our Satisfactory lag fix guide shows how to tell when memory is the problem.
  4. Check ownership rules with your group. If it turns out every player needs the DLC, decide together before you start using it on a shared save.

Playing Core Values on a GamezServers server

When Core Values releases, our Satisfactory servers update to the newest build every time they start, so a restart from the panel is all you need for the base game side. Plans run from 8 GB at 19.99 USD to 16 GB at 39.99 USD per month, and you can move up a plan later without losing your save. New customers get 50% off the first month, and you can split the bill with up to 10 friends. See Satisfactory server hosting.
