Path of Titans Server Not Showing in the Server List (Fixes)

Path of Titans community server not in the list, or players can't join? Fix the hosting token, GUID, server name, branch, ports and PC only mods.

A Path of Titans server that does not appear in the community server list usually has one of five problems: the Alderon hosting token is missing, invalid or from an account that does not own the game, two servers share the same GUID, the server is on a different branch or build than the players, the ports are not reachable, or a PC only mod hides it from mobile and console players. The server log shows most of these within the first minute after start, so read it before changing anything.

Quick checklist

Symptom Likely cause Fix
Server starts, never appears in any list Hosting token missing or invalid New token from alderongames.com
Your server appears and disappears, or shows someone else's details Duplicate GUID Generate a fresh GUID
PC players see it, phone and console players do not PC only mod enabled Remove the mod or accept PC only
Was listed yesterday, gone after an update Server on an old build Restart so it updates
Listed, but join times out Game port blocked Forward 7777 UDP, check firewall
Name looks cut off or wrong Name too long or with special characters Keep it to 25 characters

A dinosaur in Path of Titans

Cause 1: the hosting token

Every Path of Titans server needs a hosting token from an Alderon Games account that owns the game. The server uses it to download the game files through AlderonGamesCmd and to register with Alderon's server list. Without a valid one the server either fails to download or starts and never registers.

  1. Sign in at alderongames.com/oauth/hosting-token with the account that owns Path of Titans.
  2. Copy the token exactly. It is long, and losing a character at either end is the most common mistake.
  3. Paste it into your launch line as --auth-token (or the token field of your host's panel) and restart.

If you generated a new token later, the old one may stop working. Any server still using the old token drops out of the list on its next start. Keep one token per server in a password manager so you know which one each server has.

Cause 2: a duplicate GUID

Each server needs its own -ServerGUID, a standard GUID such as 3f2b6c1e-8d7a-4c55-9b1e-2a9e4f0d7c13. The list uses it to tell servers apart. If you copied a launch line from a guide, a second server, or a friend, both servers end up with the same ID, and the list shows one of them, flips between them, or shows the wrong name and player count.

Generate a fresh GUID with any GUID generator (Windows PowerShell has [guid]::NewGuid()), paste it in and restart. Never reuse a GUID between servers, and keep the same GUID on the same server afterward so players' favorites keep working.

Cause 3: different branch or build

Path of Titans updates often, and the list only shows servers on the version the player's client runs. Two ways this goes wrong:

  • Old build. The server was not restarted since the last game update. AlderonGamesCmd updates the server files when it starts, so a plain restart usually fixes it. Check the version line in the log afterward.
  • Wrong branch. A server on demo-public-test only shows to players on the public test build, and a production server does not show to them. Set -BranchKey and the AlderonGamesCmd --beta-branch to the same value, normally production.

Cause 4: PC only mods

Path of Titans is crossplay across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, iOS and Android, but some creator mods only support PC. A server that enables one of them becomes a PC only server. Players on other platforms will not find it, or cannot join it, while PC players see it normally. That makes it look like a list problem when it is a mod problem.

Check every entry in the EnabledMods lines of GameUserSettings.ini against the mod's platform support in the mod list. Remove the PC only ones if you want everyone, or accept PC only and say so in your server description. Our guide to installing mods on a Path of Titans server covers where the mod IDs go.

Cause 5: ports and firewall

A self hosted server needs its ports reachable from the internet. The default game port is 7777 UDP, the query port is commonly 7778, and RCON, if you use it, often sits on 7779. Forward the game and query ports on your router to the server's local address, and allow PathOfTitansServer through the firewall. If the forward is correct but the port still looks closed from outside, check whether your provider uses carrier grade NAT with this quick test. Our port forwarding guide covers the router side.

  • The server name is limited to 25 characters. Put the rest in the description in Game.ini.
  • Special characters and emoji can make the name hard to search for. Use plain letters and numbers for the part players will type.
  • In the server browser, search for part of the name instead of scrolling, and check the filters. A password protected server can be hidden by a filter that only shows open servers.
  • After a restart, give the list a couple of minutes before you decide it failed.

When the list shows it but players still cannot join

What players get Check
Asked for a password they do not have ServerPassword in Game.ini
"Not whitelisted" or refused bEnforceWhitelist is on and they are not on the list
Banned message Their Alderon Games ID in the ban list
Stuck downloading mods A large mod, or a mod that was updated or removed upstream
Kicked right after spawning A mod or server version change, have them restart the game

A player who cannot join while everyone else can is usually banned, missing from the whitelist, or on an outdated client. Ask them to fully restart the game so it updates.

The easy option

Most of this is a checklist you only go through once. On a GamezServers Path of Titans server, the hosting token, GUID, server name, map, branch and max players are fields in the control panel, the server updates itself through AlderonGamesCmd on every start, and the ports are already open on its own address. The live console shows the token check and the list registration as the server starts, and one click backups protect player saves before a mod change. If you still get stuck, email support@gamezservers.com, any time of day.

FAQ

Why is my Path of Titans server not showing up?

Most often the hosting token is missing or invalid, or the GUID is shared with another server. Get a new token from alderongames.com, generate a unique GUID, and restart.

Where do I get a Path of Titans hosting token?

At alderongames.com/oauth/hosting-token, signed in with an Alderon account that owns the game.

Why can PC players see my server but mobile players can't?

A PC only mod is enabled. Remove it, or keep the server PC only.

What ports does a Path of Titans server use?

The game port, 7777 UDP by default, plus a query port, commonly 7778. RCON uses its own port if you turn it on.

Do I need a new GUID after moving my server?

No. Keep the same GUID on the same server so favorites still work. Only a second server needs a different one.
